Krumpers Solar Blinds™ are transparent, internal, sun and temperature control blinds. The unique two-sided smart tech design (summer/winter, you simply turn them around) allow for a clear view and year-round temperature control. Krumpers Solar Blinds are available in a variety of custom-made styles that address both standard windows and architecturally challenging windows such as trapezoids, odd-shaped windows or skylights. Krumpers Solar Blinds™ are designed to reflect the sun’s heat back through the glass before it heats the room up or causes UV damage.
In the winter the blinds are reversed to filter out UV damage as well as generate heat by acting as a passive solar collector. Moreover, the blinds provide an R10 insulating value to your existing windows, thus greatly diminishing heat loss. Krumpers Solar Blinds™ material is comprised of a thin layer of aluminum, a layer of nano-carbon-graphite, and food grade PVC (non-toxic). The angular perforation allow for light transmission to be of similar wavelength as your retinal receptors, thus preventing headaches, and eye strain.

Summer Time

WHAT IT DOES
- Keeps the cool air in by increasing your window insulation value by up to R10
- Reflects heat and solar gain, thus preventing it from heating up your home
- Reduces need for air conditioning
- Protects against sun damage by blocking up to 92% of harmful UV rays
- Reduces solar heat gain by 68%
- Reduces glare whilst maintaining a clear view

Winter Time

WHAT IT DOES
- Absorbs sunlight and converts it into interior radiant heat
- Protects against sun damage by blocking up to 92% of harmful UV rays
- Keeps the warm air in by increasing your windows’ insulation value by up to R10
- Reduces ice build up, night time heat loss and up to 71% of cold air infiltration
- Reduces glare whilst maintaining a clear view
- A 4×4 window generates 2096 BTU’s of heat an hour in direct light, which equates to a 600 watt electric heater.
